ABOUT — Nicole Carty

Introduction

I'm Nicole Carty, founder of Carty Care and the heart behind The Carty Care Way™. My work is rooted in a simple but deeply held belief: when we feel supported, seen and equipped — we thrive. And when we thrive, our children and families feel it too.

What started as a humble nanny agency has now grown, into something far bigger — a holistic home for family wellbeing, self-discovery, and the kind of calm, connected living that every family deserves access to.

Where It All Began

Carty Care was born from a gap I kept noticing. Working closely alongside children and families, I could see that so many were navigating genuinely hard things — and doing it without enough support. So, I started where I could: showing up, rolling up my sleeves, and doing whatever was needed.

What began as a nanny agency evolved — naturally, and with great heart — into the holistic coaching, tools and resources that make up Carty Care today.

Almost Two Decades of Showing Up

I have spent close to twenty years working with children, families, community groups, organisations, and healthcare and allied health professionals, helping to support children and families navigating some of life's most challenging terrain — cancer diagnoses, disability, divorce, grief, financial hardship, and yes, even a global pandemic.

I am not yet a parent myself — but don't let that fool you. I have lived the 3am vigils beside vomiting children, the nightmare wake-ups, the sibling battles that erupt out of nowhere, the moments where you don't handle something the way you wished you had. I have comforted sick children, navigated sleepless nights, and tackled what felt like never-ending mountains of dishes and washing — only to go home and start all over again at my own house.

I have been trusted by families during their hardest seasons. I have built deep, lasting relationships with children of all ages and abilities, from all walks of life. I have been honoured to sit with families in their most vulnerable moments — and I do not take that lightly. Not for a single second.

That lived understanding — of the exhaustion, the love, the guilt, the joy, the relentlessness of caring for others — is woven into everything I do at Carty Care.

My Qualifications & Training

My commitment to children and families has been lifelong and intentional. From my early babysitting and completing my Certificate III in Children's Services through to my Diploma in Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy (HICAT), every step of my learning has been driven by a genuine desire to better understand and support the people I work with.

The HICAT qualification in particular sits close to my heart. It is a rich and beautifully alternative collection of modalities — creating space for individuals to self-reflect and find their own answers through creative and expressive practices. This is not psychology or counselling. It is something different, and something powerful.

It is the combination of formal training and nearly twenty years of real-world, hands-on experience — across some of life's most complex and tender moments — that truly underpins The Carty Care Way™. I am also the creator of a growing suite of holistic journals, tools and resources, things I genuinely wish had existed for families like the ones I grew up around and have since had the privilege of supporting.

(I'm also quietly working on a collection of children's books — watch this space. 🌿)

What Drives Me

I create the tools and resources I wish had existed. I show up the way I wish more people had shown up for the families I've loved. And I build Carty Care as a place where no parent, carer or individual has to feel like they are navigating the hard stuff alone.

I believe deeply in community. I believe in the ripple effect of one person choosing to grow and heal. And I believe that every child deserves to be surrounded by adults who feel calm, connected and equipped.

[And because I know how much easier the journey becomes when you don't walk it alone, I am building something special — a community space where parents, carers and individuals can come together, grow together, and remind each other that they are never alone in this. Stay tuned. 🌿]

A Little More About Me

I'm the eldest of three, a lover of books, and happiest with sand between my toes and the sound of the ocean nearby. You might also find me on a stand-up paddleboard or tackling a bouldering wall — I'm continually striving to be the best version of myself, in every sense.

Community has always mattered deeply to me. I've been proudly involved with Lions Clubs both locally and across Western Australia — because I believe we are stronger when we look out for one another.

I live and work in beautiful Perth, having recently made the move from the east coast. I work with clients both locally and online, and I would love nothing more than to connect with you.

Come say hello on Instagram, Facebook or Email — let's chat about how Carty Care can support you. 💛
